Unfiltered Minds Mental Health Open Mic in Charlotte, NC – May 5, 2026

Unfiltered Minds is a nationwide mental health open mic event created and hosted by Madina Alam, licensed therapist and owner of Mental Health Madina PLLC.

On May 5, 2026, she’s bringing this unique mental health event to Charlotte for a night centered around real conversations, connection, and community.

Madina created Unfiltered Minds to make vulnerability feel normal, not taboo and to create spaces where mental health is something people actually want to talk about. Hence her slogan: say how you feel, it’s sexy.

This is a mental health open mic night where you can come to share your story or just listen. It’s not about trauma dumping or staying stuck in negativity, in fact people leave feeling more inspired, less alone, and more connected.

The loneliness epidemic is real, and it often comes from not feeling truly connected. Real connection isn’t just being around people. It’s that moment where you say something honest and someone actually understands you without trying to fix or judge it. That’s exactly why Madina created these spaces.
